It’s that time of year when we like to give THANKS to all our customers both old and new for some amazing designs and the business we have been given this year.
Giant custom inflatables is what we do best but it takes a great idea from a customer to get the magic started. We have been very fortunate to have an amazing staff to design, sew, paint, and ship these fantastic inflatables.
Inflatable Design Group has been hard at work this year manufacturing everything from custom lion stage sets, branded inflatable giant slides, inflatable cups and cans, football entranceways, baseball games, inflatable characters and mascots and so much more.

It’s hard to believe November is here and the holiday season upon us!
Nothing like a cup of joe to warm you up as you shop around for those holiday presents. Inflatable product replicas such as these GIANT inflatable mugs and coffee cups are a great way to bring in weary shoppers.
Inflatable Product replicas are some of my favorite inflatables because you take that one product, food item, drink, candy bar and you make it BIG! Your product is showing off BIG TIME! We all like to show off from time to time and bigger is better to help leave that lasting impression.
We can make GIANT inflatable presents as well… just need a GIANT inflatable tree to put them under!
The beginning of every Fall means that its time for a new season of your favorite television shows!
Don’t forget to record all of your favorite shows. It’s time to grab the remote, settle in on the couch and get ready for some great new television programs. Custom inflatables are a great way to promote a new show, commercial, or movie! As you can see from one of our previous blogs, we hand- craft each and every custom inflatable with unique attention to detail. Be a show stopper with a GIANT custom inflatable from Inflatable Design Group.
Need to get your foot in the door?
Giant advertising inflatables can make a great imprint on customers! Companies are always looking for alternative ways to bring in a crowd and leave a visual imprint with their customers and thinking BIG is a great way to do just that.
Giant Inflatable Product replicas, such as these BIG shoes are a great way to leave a lasting impression and get a crowd talking about your product. It’s not every day you see a Gigantic running shoe or huge inflatable boot! At the end of the day, it is all about the most attention to your product and bringing in sales. THINK BIG and give your competitor the BOOT with a GIANT inflatable.
Here at Inflatable Design Group we always like to put our best foot forward to help you on your way.
Welcome to October!
Every October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. This year alone there were 2.8 million women who had a history with breast cancer. Breast Cancer develops in about 1 in 8 women; besides skin cancer breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer among American women.
We teamed up with Interactive Exhibits and created these interactive breast cancer awareness inflatables. These inflatables traveled around the United States to several hospitals giving people a visual on how breast cancer affects the body.
These inflatables measured from 12.5 ft high, 15.5 ft wide, and 19.5 ft long. Here at Inflatable Design Group we create educational interactive inflatables that help people learn more about everything from breast cancer to colon cancer.
Having these large inflatables give purpose as a visual educational teaching aid. Below we have attached a video of these inflatables in action. Check it out!
Vision to Reality
How do you get started building an inflatable is a question we get asked a lot and we would like to address it in this blog. How do I take my idea and turn it into inflatable reality?
As a custom inflatable manufacturer we don’t have inflatables in stock or sitting on the shelves ready to go because we hand craft each and every design that comes into our facility. Unlike other assembly line manufacturing companies, every product we make is unique in shape, size, color and detail.
Here is a snapshot of the on how we can create your next custom inflatable design.
Step 1 – We like to begin this process by taking your idea which can be a logo, photograph, or product and sketch a concept or rendering. The rendering is the starting point to show colors, designs, size and any specific details.
Step 2- We take the approved rendering and create a 3-D computer model. Once the model is approved we begin the patterning and full design.
Step 3- During the design stage our designer builds the patterns to cut on our cutting table and puts together the sewing instructions.
Step 4- Once the pieces are cut the project moves onto our sewing tables to be stitched together.
(this process still amazes me as hundreds of pieces can be sewn together to make something so cool!)
Step 5- Depending on the project the unit can either be airbrushed or have digitally printed artwork.
Final and Step 6- The inflatable is inflated and checked off and moved outside for final photographs!
Inflatable Reality has come a long way and is truly a sight to see. Custom inflatables come in all shapes and sizes with varied details and specifications. The expert craftsmanship and detail goes into every job and ends with an inflatable work of art! We are excited to work on your next project.

Archways are quick and easy to put up and the take down takes only a minute. There isn’t the hassle of having to put together a metal truss or a sign then trying to find a place to hang it. Archways are great for making your next 5k or marathon standout and look very professional. For a visual aid please refer to our video located at the bottom of the page or our YouTube Channel. Our visual aid shows step by step how our professionals setup and take down an inflatable tunnel.
- Take your inflatable arch out of bag

- Locate zippers on either side of archway (2)
- Open zippers and place one sand bag in each leg of the archway
- Locate fan tunnel extension
- Secure fan tunnel with tether
- Turn fan blower on
- Each arch has four tethers, on top and bottom anchor points around the base of each leg that should be secured with sand bags, stakes, or water ballasts.
- Release all four tethers from sand bags to begin the take down process
- Turn fan blower off
- Release tether from fan extension

Welcome to our brand new Fall blog series.
School is back and it’s the season for learning. We are eager to help, teach, and explain to our readers how to inflate tunnels, arches, bounce houses, etc. In the past blog posts we’ve shown and described how amazing, versatile, and easy it is to use our custom inflatables. Now over the next couple of weeks we will be explaining HOW TO inflate, deflate, and care for your custom inflatable. We know it may be intimidating receiving tunnel as long as 50 ft, not to worry we are here to help explain the process of using a custom inflatable tunnel. For a visual aid please refer to our video located at the bottom of the page or our YouTube Channel. Our visual aid shows step by step how our professionals setup and take down an inflatable tunnel.
- Each inflatable is sent folded and ready to be used. To begin the setup process take your inflatable out of bag. Untie the tethers and save them because you will need them later to secure your inflatable at the end.
- Unroll your inflatable tunnel and open inflatable so it is laid out on the floor ready to be blown up.
- Double check to make sure all zippers have been properly closed there are an average of 4 to 6 zippers on each tunnel. It is very important to close all zippers because your tunnel will not inflate properly if one is left open.
- Locate fan tunnel to connect fan blower. Once located secure fan tunnel to the blower with the Velcro.
- On the fan blower turn red knob to turn air on.
- It takes about 2-4 minutes for inflation to complete.
- Locate the tethers and secure with stakes to prevent tunnel from moving.
- Your tunnel is now ready to be used.
- On the fan blower turn red knob to turn off air and detach blower from the fan tunnel.
- Open all zippers to release air trapped in your inflatable
- Fold inflatable into thirds and then in thirds again. You want as much air as possible to be released from inflatable
- Open/ layout your inflatable again and close all zippers. Closing each zipper helps being prepared to use your inflatable for the next time you use it.
- Fold inflatable into thirds and then in thirds again
- Now you have one long rectangle. Be sure to have fan tunnel located at one end of the rectangle
- Place tethers that were used to secure your inflatable from step one underneath the end with the fan tunnel
- Starting opposite from fan tunnel begin to tightly roll your inflatable
- Locate the tethers, lay tethers down underneath the end of the tunnel with fan tunnel.
- Begin to tightly roll your tunnel.
- Your inflatable is now tightly rolled with tethers located underneath
- Tie tethers and place back in bag.

Now we may not be in Munich at the Hofbräuhaus Tent but here in California we are very big on our local craft beers and wineries. Inflatable Design Group has helped several companies make a statement by creating products replicas of their bottles, cans, and cups.
Brewing is a science that is becoming incredibly popular. Here in San Diego we have more than a hundred crafts brews. Trying to stand out in the brewing crowd may be hard having so much competition. Some creative ways to call attention to your unique company is the way you market your beers. Who could resist not checking out your brew when you have an 8 foot tall beer bottle replica at your next beer festival or brewery?
In San Diego we have everything from wine tasting to home brewing classes. And it can surely be said that Southern California is on the rise for having some of the best local brewing companies. Start of a new school year
Summer is over and it’s the beginning of a new school year which means it’s time for football season to start. I mean we are blessed with so much football, watch your hometown’s high school play Friday nights, then your Alma Mater plays on Saturday nights, and don’t forget about Sunday nights are saved for your favorite NFL teams.
China Springs High School, Texas
We get full three day weekends to watch all the football we want. Some of our favorite schools, universities, and NFL teams make a huge entrance to every game when they go running on the field through their giant custom entryway!
Missouri Southern State University, Missouri
Best part about Custom Entryways is you, the client, have the ability to customize your entryway that your team will be making their huge entrance onto the field. No more hassle with paper banners and not to mention inflatable entryways are reusable with easy setup time.
Denver Broncos, Colorado
The crazy thing is summer is over, school is starting, and the holiday season is quickly approaching.
Before you know it, it is going to be time to start preparing for the costumes, turkeys, and Christmas trees. One of my favorite parts about the holiday season is participating in the festive 5ks, marathons, and triathlons. Some of my favorite 5ks include Trick or Trot, Hot Chocolate Run, Turkey Trots, and Santa Runs.
One thing that goes hand in hand with all of these 5ks, triathlons, and marathons are inflatable archways to begin and end each race. Inflatable archways are easy to assemble and even easier to take down not to mention they make every event look clean and professional.
There are so many different options when it comes to picking out the perfect inflatable arch for your holiday run. We have a variety of different shaped arches including angular tube arches, arches with 3D shapes, tubular arches, square block arches, and tubular square arches.
The sky is the limit when it comes to designing arches there is a cornucopia of possibilities. Imagine candy cane arches, 3D Santa’s or Snowmen, or maybe even a Turkey cheering you on while your run through your favorite city.
