Coachella 2026’s first weekend is now officially over, and excitement for the second weekend is already growing. Coachella is becoming more than just a music event, with over 100,000 people attending every day and hundreds of vendors, artists, and brand activations dispersed around the festival grounds. It has become a space where brands, artists, and creators come together to build experiences that are designed to be seen, shared, and remembered. Inflatable Design Group helped bring to life some Coachella inflatables that helped artists and brands stand out across both the festival grounds and off-site activations.

Coachella Inflatables for Huda Beauty’s Activation
Inflatable Design Group partnered with Huda Beauty for their brand activation at weekend 1. This makeup company is known globally for having a strong presence in the beauty space and a highly engaged audience. The brand used inflatables to support the launch of its Strawberry Latte makeup collection.
IDG created multiple inflatable strawberries in a range of sizes and colors, from 5 feet tall to 12 feet tall. One set of these inflatables was installed at a private house that the brand rented for invited guests and influencers, and the other set was placed at the Coachella festival grounds as a way to get eyes on their brand and get people excited for their activation space.

At the house, the inflatables helped tie the entire strawberry theme together. They paired nicely with matching strawberry décor, themed drinks, and even strawberry-shaped pool floats. The Coachella inflatables added height and visibility while also serving as a backdrop for photos and social content.

On the festival grounds, the strawberries acted as a visual anchor that drew people toward the activation while also giving attendees a clear, branded photo opportunity. Some of the inflatables featured the Huda Beauty logo, reinforcing brand visibility in a setting where hundreds of activations are competing for attention.
Stage Design With Coachella Inflatables for Major Lazer
Coachella inflatables are not limited to brand activations. They are also widely used in stage design, especially at festivals where setup time is limited, and visuals need to make an immediate impact.
IDG created specially designed inflatable satellites that were 17 feet and 9 feet tall for Major Lazer’s Sunday night performance on the main stage. Each inflatable was created with artwork that complements the group’s visual branding and the stage’s overall appearance.

One of the biggest advantages of using inflatables in this setting is efficiency. These inflatable pieces are easily assembled, disassembled, and pack up small so they take a limited amount of storage and transport space. That matters at a festival like Coachella, where stage transitions have tight schedules.
The custom inflatable satellites were also featured in Major Lazer’s promotional content leading up to their Coachella set. They appeared in social media posts on both Instagram and TikTok. This extended their impact beyond the live show, built anticipation for their set, and reminded people not at Coachella that they could tune in to the live stream on YouTube.

Past Coachella Inflatables and Artist Collaborations
This was not the first time that IDG collaborated with musical artists and their teams to create Coachella inflatables that fit their stage design and performance style.
A few years ago, we worked with Jessie Reyez’s team to produce two 12-foot inflatable hands for her set. These added a unique visual element that complemented her performance and helped create a more immersive stage presence.

More recently, we partnered with Yeat’s team to create a nearly 30-foot tall inflatable bell. This was not just a visual piece. It was designed with a functional element, including a cutout in the back that allowed for a platform to be installed so he could perform on top of it.

Before the festival, Yeat and his team also used our El Cajon warehouse as a filming location for promotional content featuring the inflatable bell. Watch Yeat’s full Coachella performance on YouTube.
Why Inflatables Are Perfect for Music Festivals
As festivals continue to evolve, the demand for visually impactful and flexible design elements keeps growing. Coachella inflatables are perfect for brands with vendor booths at the festival, brands hosting groups going to the festival, and for artists performing at the festival who want an immersive stage set.
These personalized inflatables are perfect for hectic settings like music festivals because they are lightweight, portable, and simple to install. They can also be fully customized, allowing for complex designs that support a creative idea or brand identity.

IDG has also created inflatables for other major music festivals such as Bonnaroo, Rolling Loud, and Lollapalooza. Custom inflatables have been utilized for stage sets, merchandise tents, brand activations, entryways, product replicas, and overall event décor at various events and festivals.
Their capacity to stand out in congested areas is what makes custom inflatables so perfect for festivals. They help artists and brands in producing visually striking and immersive content without needlessly complicating the setup.
