From Netflix premieres to Comic-Con takeovers, larger-than-life inflatables have become a tool for movie and TV studios looking to create buzz in a bold way. Inflatable Design Group has worked with many clients to craft custom movie and TV show inflatables that turn heads, start conversations, and get fans exited long before the premiere hits the screen.

Movie and TV show inflatables provide a great photo op. Plus, they are versatile, easy to transport, and simple to set up in all kinds of places. Whether it is the red carpet or a random college football tailgate they demand attention.
Building Hype Before Premiere Day with Movie and TV Show Inflatables
One of the most popular ways to use inflatables is to by using them to build anticipation in the days or weeks leading up to a premiere. A great example of this was the giant inflatable Squid Games doll we made to promote the show’s second season that came out at the end of 2024.
This inflatable popped up at various events, including a USC vs Notre Dame football tailgate, where fans could snap photos with the inflatable, take on the show’s iconic dalgona cookie challenge, and walk away with a Squid Game themed foam finger. It created a memorable, buzzworthy, and unexpected moment that ended up all over social media.

We have worked with Adult Swim to make some equally impressive and fun inflatable movie and tv show inflatable activations. For the new season premiere of adult cartoon Tuca and Bertie’s new season, we created inflatable replicas of the show’s title character’s that sailed down the coasts of New York and Los Angeles on a giant barge. This inflatable promotion was surreal, colorful, and successful. See pictures of this activation on our website.
Our team also created two inflatable replicas of the stuffed bear, Chauncey, from the horror film Imaginary that premiered in 2024. These inflatables were displayed in various places in Los Angeles the week leading up to the film’s release and ended up all over social media.

Red Carpet Ready
Movie and TV show inflatables bring plenty of wow factor to the premiere night itself. When DreamWorks rolled out Kung Fu Panda 3, our team created a giant inflatable Po replica that stood tall outside the Chinese Mann theater, serving as a fun backdrop for red carpet photos and performances.

The same thing happened with Netflix’s final season premiere of Cobra Kai. Our team carted a giant inflatable cobra snake that greeted guests at an exclusive premiere screening. Naturally, the starts of the show stopped for photos, and the inflatable made appearances across social media and press coverage.

Comic-Con, Festivals, and Fan Events
Premieres are not the only time inflatables get to shine. We have worked with Adult Swim on tons of custom inflatables for their festival and Comic-Con activations over the years. From a massive inflatable Morty Slide and Rick & Morty ladder crawl to wild inflatable entryways and a dinosaur photo op, these movie and TV show inflatables do exactly what they are supposed to do, get fans to stop, take a pic, and tag the brand.

The beauty of custom movie and TV show inflatables is how adaptable they are. They pack up small, inflate fast, and can be displayed just about anywhere. We have seen our work installed on rooftops, attached to floating barges, and even staged in front of iconic landmarks like the Eiffel Tower. Add in lights, sound, and branding and suddenly your inflatable is not just décor, it is an experience.

Lights, Camera, Inflatable Action
Whether you are promoting a new season, dropping a long-awaited sequel, or launching a totally new series, movie and TV show inflatables are an unforgettable way to create hype and connect with fans. They are fun, functional, and totally photo worthy.
