Boston Legacy FC’s giant inflatable swan was only in Boston Common for a day, but it made an impression that lasted a long time. The inflatable swan was 44 feet tall and 58 feet wide and turned heads from far away, bringing people of all ages together to check it out. A Swan on Boston Common
Boston Legacy FC, the city’s professional women’s soccer club, wanted a way to stand out while soccer had the country’s attention this summer. To make sure they grabbed attention, the team worked with Inflatable Design Group to create a 44-foot-tall, 58-foot-wide inflatable swan pulled straight from its own crest.
The giant inflatable team mascot was set up to look like it was floating on Frog Pond in Boston Common. It was only there for a few days, but it became the centerpiece of a free, family-friendly activation and gave fans a reason to stop, take a photo, and talk about the team. According to WHDH, the installation was built to bring people together and remind the city that world-class women’s soccer already calls Boston Home.
