Blink-182 World Tour Inflatables
After breaking up due to creative differences in 2005, the San Diego-born punk band Blink-182 reunited in 2022. Following the announcement of their reunion, the band also announced they would be going on a world tour in 2023.
Inflatable Design Group had the pleasure of creating multiple custom inflatables for Blink-182’s reunion world tour. The concert and stage production inflatables IDG created for the tour include a giant inflatable ambulance equipped with lights, an inflatable bunch with moving arms, a small inflatable UFO dome, and an inflatable wrecking ball.
Beyonce – Renaissance Tour
Inflatable Design Group also worked on custom concert and stage production inflatables for the highly anticipated Beyonce world tour titled “Renaissance”. Beyonce’s “Renaissance” tour premiered overseas in May 2023 and will travel to the United States in July. Since the tour is traveling to so many countries, custom inflatables were the perfect stage set as they are lighter than typical materials used in stage production. Stage production inflatables also pack up into surprisingly small packages, making them easy to travel with and take on the road.
Tenacious D
Comedian and actor Jack Black’s band, Tenacious D, is also embarking on a world tour in 2023. This tour, titled “The Spicy Meatball Tour” will travel to select cities in the United States before heading overseas to Europe.
Inflatable Design Group worked with Tenacious D to bring the cover of their 2001 ‘Tenacious D’ album to life. The result was a 12-foot-tall inflatable demon character with light-up eyes and soft fabric legs.
This custom stage production inflatable is a perfect addition to Tenacious D’s 2023 world tour.
Weezer – Indie Rock Road Trip
Another band going on tour in 2023 that Inflatable Design Group had the pleasure of working with is the rock band Weezer. Weezer’s 2023 summer tour, “Indie Rock Road Trip” will take the band to about 30 cities within the United States from June to September.
The set of Weezer’s “Indie Rock Road Trip” is designed to look like the dashboard of a car. Inflatable Design Group created an inflatable dashboard and steering wheel for stage production as well as an inflatable sun.
Melanie Martinez – PORTALS
If you know singer and songwriter Melanie Martinez you know she loves taking her concerts to the next level with visuals, props, and costumes. Her 2023 PORTALS tour is no different. Martinez utilizes visuals and costumes to transport her fans to a different world. The artist even wears a prosthetic mask and make-up to transform her look.
Inflatable Design Group helped add to the experience with four inflatable mushroom clusters that serve as stage props.
Melanie Martinez’s tour which will take her to multiple cities in the United States as well as a few performances in Canada.
New Kids on the Block – BlockCon
In addition to making concert and stage production inflatables for concert tours, Inflatable Design Group also created multiple inflatables for the New Kids on the Block’s fan event titled BlockCon. This fan convention took place in Chicago during a weekend in May and included everything a normal convention includes including panels, concerts, exhibits, parties, and more.
Inflatable Design Group created two custom inflatables for BlockCon that were used as event décor and provided fun and unique photo opportunities for fans of New Kids on the Block that attended the event.
