With the dog days of summer here, it felt like a good time to look back on some of our favorite inflatable dogs we have made. From selling RVs to recruiting new agents to celebrating a dog food brand’s approach to nutrition, Inflatable Design Group has created many different types of inflatable dogs. Each inflatable dog we have made is fit to the client’s specific goals rather than a one-size-fits-all mold.
Arvy Keeps Watch Over the Highway
One of our favorite projects we have done was bringing to life Arvy, a giant inflatable dog mascot we built for an RV company.
Instead of placing Arvy front and center at the entrance, the team positioned him at the back edge of the lot along the freeway so it looks like he is peering over the top of an RV as cars go by. It is a simple idea that works because it plays on curiosity. Drivers catch a glimpse of a massive dog head poking up over a rooftop and cannot help but look twice, which is exactly the kind of double-take that gets a brand remembered and gets people to actually pull of the road and stop in.
Honest Inflatable Dogs at Westminster Week
We also built two 20-foot inflatable dogs for The Honest Kitchen during Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show week in New York City. Rather than showing off a picture-perfect show dog, the brand wanted to celebrate the idea that not every dog, or every meal, needs to look flawless to be worth loving.
The inflatable French Bulldog and English Bulldog were mounted on a barge that cruised up and down the New York Harbor before being moved to Plaza33 near the dog show venue. Between the barge ride and the plaza placement, the dogs were seen by thousands of people during one of the busiest dog-focused weeks of the year, and they did their job of putting a spotlight on a dog food brand that leads with honesty over appearances. A Border Patrol Dog Built for Recruiting Season
Not every custom inflatable dog is built to sell a product. We worked with US Customs and Border Protection to design a giant inflatable German Shepard replica dressed in a border patrol uniform. The inflatable dog now shows up next to the agency’s booth at recruiting events and community outreach days, where its size and detail make it an easy way to draw a crowd to the table.
It is proof that inflatables are not just a marketing tool for brands, they work just as well for agencies and organizations trying to make a booth feel like a destination instead of just a folding table with pamphlets.

Arvy, the Honest Kitchen bulldogs, and the border patrol German Shepard are only part of the picture.
