The real Camp Randall Arch stands proudly near the corner of Dayton Street and Randall Avenue on campus. The historical arch was dedicated in 1912 to honor the more than 70,000 Union soldiers who trained at Camp Randall during the Civil War. The site once housed barracks for up to 5,000 soldiers, served briefly as a prisoner-of-war camp, and remains one of the most historically significant locations in Wisconsin. Today, this historical arch is not only a national historic site but also an entryway for the UW Marching Band on football Saturdays. It marks the start of every home game with tradition and pride.
To carry the same energy on the road, IDG worked with University of Wisconsin Alumni Association to build an inflatable replica of the iconic arch. The inflatable replica is perfectly scaled at 18 feet tall, 17 feet wide, and 5 feet deep. This makes it easy to transport during travel and allows for a quick setup at away games and special events. Recently, the inflatable arch made the trip to Eugene, Oregon, where it welcomed Wisconsin fans and players for an away football game. It brought a piece of home-field tradition hundreds of miles away, a reminder that team spirit travels well when you have the right inflatable.
