In a year already filled with eye-catching barge inflatables, hello giant pigeon & a 125-foot cheetah, it was a pink mascot named Doro that may have made the biggest impression. As part of a quirky and colorful campaign for video game Goddess of Victory: Nikke, the Doro barge inflatable took over the Hudson River for two days in July 2025. Towering above the waves with glowing cheeks and an oversized bow, Doro wasn’t just adorable, it was impossible to miss.
And yes, it may have even upstaged NYCFC’s five-story pigeon which launched just days before on its own five-borough flight. As one Redditor hilariously put it:
NYCFC: ‘Our giant inflatable pigeon is the craziest thing you’ll see towed down the waterway.’
Reddit User
Nikke: ‘Hold my Doro.’
Inflatable Design Group had a hand in bringing both of these barge inflatables to life, creating eye-catching marketing magic. With the Doro barge inflatable, game publisher Level Infinite turned heads, won over fans, and brought a digital character into the real world in a very creative way!
Gaming Meets Waterfront Spectacle
Created for Nikke’s Summer Tour promotional event, the Doro barge inflatable was part of a global campaign that brought giant Doro balloons to multiple cities, including New York. In New York, Inflatable Design Group manufactured a giant inflatable Doro that was mounted on a barge and floated past Manhattan’s skyline, smiling at passersby.

This wasn’t just a PR stunt. It was a full-on fan experience. The custom inflatable was built to be instantly recognizable to Nikke’s global player base and adorable enough to win over anyone who had no idea what “Goddess of Victory” even was. Photos flooded Instagram, people posted on Reddit, and the summer sun reflected perfectly off Doro’s oversized cheeks.
And as Dexerto put it, “[Nikke] takes over New York City in a bizarre summer collab” that turned heads and delighted fans all across the waterfront.

A Barge Inflatable for the Win
At Inflatable Design Group, we know how to make bold inflatables but Doro was special. Lightweight enough for river travel, durable enough for two full days on the Hudson, and cute enough to earn her own fan club, the Doro barge inflatable was designed to be both structurally sound and social-media ready.
Of course, Doro wasn’t our first floating masterpiece. Before her, we created:
- A massive Chester Cheetah (125 feet long!) that sailed the Mississippi during Super Bowl weekend in New Orleans.
- A five-story pigeon for NYCFC that took a grand tour through all five boroughs in July.
- Inflatable versions of Tuca & Bertie, towed up and down the coasts of LA and NYC to promote the adult cartoon’s move to Adult Swim

Each one turned a barge into a floating billboard, drawing crowds, grabbing attention, and getting shared online thousands of times. But none had Doro’s soft power. This inflatable didn’t shout, she smiled, sparkled, and cruised past the Statue of Liberty like she belonged there.
Giant Floats, Bigger Results
The Doro barge inflatable proves one thing: your campaign does not need a cape to be a hero, it just needs a barge and the right design team. These floating inflatables are equal parts brand ambassador and attention magnet, and when done right, they are unforgettable.
