A Monumental Statement Piece for NYCFC

Dubbed the “Five-Borough Flight,” the giant NYCFC inflatable pigeon installation floated along the Hudson and East Rivers, making stops at Staten Island, Battery Park, Brooklyn Bridge Park, and finally Willets Point, the future home of Etihad Park, NYCFC’s upcoming stadium.  The stunt coincided with the FIFA Club World Cup Semifinals at MetLife Stadium, aiming to grab attention and mark NYCFC’s expanding influence in the city.

Why the Giant NYCFC Inflatable Pigeon Works

IDG engineered this project to exceed all expectations.  The NYCFC Pigeon sailed through strong wind currents and river waves while maintaining structural integrity and brand presence.  Constructed from heavy-duty materials, the pigeon stood tall at five stories, visually arresting and durable enough to be towed through the Five Borough Flight.

And it worked!  Hundreds of spectators lined the waterfronts, Instagram exploded with posts of the Pigeon in flight, and news outlets from Time Out to Adweek showcased the floating giant inflatable.
