The 25-foot-tall inflatable replica of metal’s prince of darkness, Ozzy Osbourne, was used to promote the singer’s upcoming album Patient Number 9 along with the accompanying comic book illustrated by Tom McFarlane.
The inflatable replica of Ozzy Osbourne included some of the metal singer’s tattoos, his signature black eye make-up, and black painted nails. As mentioned before, the inflatable replica stands at 25 feet tall and towers over passersby.
The Ozzy Osbourne 25-foot-tall inflatable replica made its debut at San Diego Comic-Con 2022 during the weekend of July 20th to 24th. The giant inflatable was positioned outside of the convention center to welcome attendees to the convention. On Friday, July 22nd, Ozzy Osbourne attended a signing at the convention to further promote his new album and comic book.
Many Comic-Con attendees stopped to take pictures with the Ozzy Osbourne inflatable replica and posted their pictures on social media, tagging the artist and increasing his social media reach.
Epic Records, Osbourne’s music label, loved the custom inflatable so much that they ordered a second one. Both Ozzy Osbourne inflatables will be traveling worldwide to help promote Osbourne’s new album, tour, and comic book.
The first stop on the custom inflatable replica tour was Los Angeles. The Ozzy Osbourne inflatable was spotted on the Venice Beach Boardwalk on Saturday, August 6th and at Smorgasburg LA the following day. Both locations had Ozzy Osbourne special events going on and sold exclusive merchandise. Like Comic-Con, passersby stopped to pose and take pictures with the giant custom inflatable replica of Ozzy Osbourne. They then posted these to social media, increasing the buzz behind Osbourne’s new album release and creating a successful marketing campaign.
